A Wonderful First Year

May 1, 2013 - This was a day that changed my life forever. We, Sam and I, were sealed in the temple for time and eternity. I am so happy to say that I married my best friend and that every day since then he continues to amaze me by the love and support he gives me. It's hard to believe it's been a year. We have been through so much this past year and we have grown together to become a better couple. Despite the challenges we have faced (finances, death, moving, school, losing jobs, pregnancy, and so much more) we have come together and faced them with courage and integrity. Yesterday on our anniversary I wasn't feeling well and I felt terrible because we couldn't really do anything to celebrate our year mark. Sam was so patient and kind he made me dinner, soup, and we just watched a movie on our couch. It wasn't a big major thing but he made it special and that's why I love him.

I still can't wrap my head around the thought that we are about to be parents. Our little man Samuel Mon'Tague' Wadsworth is only about 7-8 weeks away from being placed in my arms for the first time. One thing that comforts me about my son coming to this earth is that he is getting to spend time with my family members that have gone on before, specifically my great uncle Montague Godfrey and the recently passed my grandfather Murrie Godfrey. It is because of these two men that we picked the name that we did for our son. And without my grandfather I wouldn't know the stories about Montague.

Some sleepless nights I lay awake wonder if I will be a good mother. I have some great examples of good, amazing, strong mothers but I still wonder if I will be able to do the same good that they have done. I know that perfect parenting is not going to happen over night but I also know that as long as we put forth the effort to do our family scripture study and Family Home Evenings that we will do okay and they others things will fall into place as they should.

Well hopefully not as much time will go by before my next post but until next time. I look forward to what adventure comes next.
